The stone spheres (or stone balls) of Costa Rica are an assortment of over three hundred petrospheres in Costa Rica, located on the Diquís Delta and on Isla del Caño. The spheres are commonly attributed to the extinct Diquis culture and are sometimes referred to as the Diquís Spheres. The collection is part of the World Heritage Site. At Finca 6, you will learn the history of Costa Rica, where one of the few preserved cases of residential buildings with associated stone spheres exists. Some of the spheres present are in situ, so they have never been removed since their discovery. It is the second archaeological site that is open to the public in Costa Rica, after Guayabo.
